HORTUS VICTORIA

(It means Victory Garden)

Hortus Victoria is the website for the Larchmont Mamaroneck victory garden project. Post pictures here of what you are growing! Ask the community questions! Together we are raising food for our families and for the Larchmont-Mamaroneck Food Pantry

WE ARE NEARLY
50 GARDENS
AND GROWING!

In backyards, front yards, and side yards; at Murray Avenue School; and at Sheldrake Nature Center Hortus gardeners are raising everything from Swiss chard and tomatoes to jalapeños and corn

Super-tough Hortus volunteers braved a hornets nest and poison ivy to clear the overgrown gardens at Sheldrake Nature Center recently. Next step: we are building raised beds and planting a cover crop so that the gardens are ready for planting in the spring. If you want to volunteer—or know of another project in need of a garden corps--get in touch.

TALK TO EACH OTHER!

Click the Members tab at the top of the page and join. You'll be able to ask the Hortus community questions about bugs, bunnies, fences--whatever--and share pictures too.
